American writer Tayari Jones, 55, faced career challenges but experienced a turnaround in just 48 hours. Her latest novel, Kin, is selected for Oprah's Book Club, following her previous success with An American Marriage, which won the Women’s Prize. Jones is the author of four novels in total.
