Wandering wallabies threaten Isle of Man's ecosystem
Red-necked wallabies, introduced to the Isle of Man in the 1960s, now number around 800 and have significantly altered the local ecosystem. Their presence has led to the decline of key species in Ballaugh Curraghs, which was once recognised as a wetland of international importance. The challenge now lies in managing their growing population.
