UN report shows significant rise in global meat consumption
A UN report reveals that the average person now consumes six times more chicken and twice as much pork compared to 1961. Global meat supply has increased fourfold over the past 60 years, with poultry consumption rising from below 3kg per person in 1961 to 17kg in 2022, while pork supply doubled to 15kg.
