Keats's Stolen Love Letters Returned After 40 Years
Eight original letters from Romantic poet John Keats to Fanny Brawne, stolen in the 1980s, are returned to the family of former US ambassador John Hay “Jock” Whitney. The letters, dated between 1819 and 1820 and valued at approximately $2 million, include Keats's first correspondence to Brawne.
