Study: Cannabis Commercialisation Increases Usage and Psychosis Rates
A review finds that commercialisation of cannabis, rather than decriminalisation, leads to increased usage and higher rates of psychosis. The study, analysing policy shifts from 2000 to 2025, shows that regulated access does not significantly affect user numbers or mental health issues. Countries with commercial sales see a notable rise in both users and mental health problems.
